Why should someone check my cabin?

Your cabin is likely one of your biggest investments and many things can happen while you are not there. Trees can fall, break-ins can happen, electricity can go out, etc. If no one discovers these things soon after they happen more damage can occur. We can check your property on a weekly basis so problems will never be left unattended for more than a few days.

We recommend weekly visits depending on your needs and investment. However, bi-monthly, monthly, or if you wish, only one or two visits per seasons can be arranged. Some insurance companies require daily checks on permanent dwellings if they are absent for any lengthy period of time.

You want to have someone very dependable checking your cabin every week and report their findings along with photgraphs if necessary. Having a neighbor or friend check your property inside and out may be a lot to ask. Friends or neighbours may be out of town when your property needs checking the most, or they may be too busy or unable to check things on a regular basis. In addition, we offer signage on all the properties we inspect so a passerby can call us on your behalf.
Some Insurance companies require daily checks on full time resident's cabins while they are away for an extended period of time.
